Electronics repair is a serious hands-on pursuit: inspect closely, measure deliberately, understand the circuit, and prove the failed component before replacing it.

Inspect

Start with a headband magnifier for a fast board overview, then move under the high-powered microscope for cracked joints, corrosion, heat damage, damaged traces, and tiny failed components.

Measure

Use multimeters, ESR and LCR meters, diode mode, continuity, and component measurements to replace guesses with evidence.

Trace

Follow power rails, connectors, relays, semiconductors, and signal paths against the schematic or physical board layout to isolate the fault.

Power

Apply controlled, current-limited bench power when appropriate to observe behavior and isolate faults without adding avoidable damage.

Repair

Remove and replace through-hole and surface-mount components with soldering and hot-air tools, then clean and inspect the rework.

Verify

Repeat electrical measurements, run functional tests, inspect the repaired area, and document what failed and what proved the fix.
